Insuring Your Boat
Owning a boat is a great feeling that you never want to end. Unfortunately, while they are unwanted, they are various things that stand as threats to the existence of that feeling. One of them is the possibility of an accident. Of course, no one wants to experience an accident. However, the reality is that those who experienced it did not want it to. This is why you must prepare for such an event. Now, you do this through boat insurance.
Even if you are not excited about owning a boat, you will need to remember the significant financial investment you took to buy the boat. Surely, you would not love for such investment to be a waste thanks to an accident that you could do nothing about. Well, while you could do nothing about the occurrence of the accident in some cases, the reality is that you can protect yourself from the effect of the accident. This is through boat insurance.
This involves a process where you insure your boat in the event of unwanted circumstances. In such cases where such unwanted circumstances occur, you then remain protected from financial loss as you are compensated for the loss. For instance, the insurance company can provide the cost of repairs for you so you will not have to pay for it yourself. Also, in some cases, depending on the scope of the insurance and the scope of the damage, you can get yourself a new boat.
At Dearden Marine, we are fully aware of this reality. We recognise that getting a custom boat from us comes with considerable cost. As such, we provide access to insurance packages for your boats. Our goal is to ensure that your boat and your investment receive the necessary protection you deserve. We offer various types of insurance packages for your boats with different scopes. The goal is to ensure that your boats and investments are safe in the event of unwanted events.

What We Cover
We do not leave things to chance; that is why we believe in fully informing you of what we offer. Our insurance coverage cut across the following areas.
The Hull
Our insurance cover extends to protecting the body or frame of your vessel. Also, as part of the hull, we ensure the cabin, the deck, and other permanent fittings or fixtures attached to the boat. In turn, in the case of any damage to these parts, the insurance takes care of the repair.
Trailer
This refers to the device that you use to carry your boat. Where you intend, our insurance cover also extends to this. Such that in the event of damage to the trailer, you are protected.
Equipment and Accessories
Our insurance cover extends to the various materials that qualify as accessories and equipment on the boat. For instance, equipment that you need to always carry on the boat, such as life jackets and fire extinguishers. It also extends to spare parts that you need to keep on your ship and other protective canopies and covers you keep on the boat.
Masts, Rigging, Sails, and Spars
These parts assist and support your boats to ensure that it gets propelled through the water—generally, this falls under the hull’s valuation. Our insurance offering covers this to ensure that you are protected in the event of damage to those parts.
Boat Tender
Our insurance cover also extends to the small boat you use to leave or get to the boat. Usually, you carry it or tow it at the back of your boat. So, in the event of damages, we offer to cover up to an agreed amount to keep your investment protected.
Motors (Trolling and Auxiliary Motors)
This involves the devices or machinery that powers or propels your boat when on the water—for instance, the propellers, fuel tanks, and even control. Our insurance covers all this such that in the event of any damage to these parts, you are fully covered from bearing the financial burden directly.
