Other Build Aspects

At Dearden Marine, we concern ourselves with the whole build process from start to finish. This is in line with our goal to ensure that you enjoy the very best experience with every boat you get from us. Other build aspects that we concern ourselves with include:

Blast and Paint

This involves providing the boat with the beauty that it deserves. This occurs after we have completed the whole assembly of the various fabrications. In turn, at this stage, we concern ourselves with providing epoxy to the structure. Our commitment here is not only to provide beauty but also to ensure durability by avoiding corrosion. As such, we apply an epoxy primer that inhibits corrosion to the hull following blasting to prevent trapping oxidisation.

We then go on to filling and hand sanding the hull. We then paint it to meet your specific needs. We are available to reproduce the colour scheme of your choice to ensure that you get value for money. Over the years, we have spent considerable effort finding a functional paint system that preserves our vessels best. Proudly, we have achieved much success that ensures we can give you a durable and functional boat that is fully polished and easily repolished.

Fittings

As part of our build process, we also concern ourselves with fittings. At this stage, we engage in installing every necessary equipment that the vessel needs to be fully operational. Typically, this will include the control system, fuel tanks, batteries, electrical system, a navigation system, cabins, furnishings, radios, handrails, and deck cleats, among other fittings.

Testing Our Creation

We commit ourselves to test our creations. This is to enable us to certify that we have delivered based on our promise of excellence. We achieve this through independent experts that ensure that our vessels’ assessment is free and fair, objective, and effective in ensuring the constant development of our building process. Our testing cut across the following categories:

  • To ascertain that our vessels have met the approved and stipulated design
  • To ascertain that our vessels have the necessary equipment, and they are all operational
  • To ascertain that our vehicle meets all the safety regulations as provided for by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority
  • To ascertain that the vessels meet our set standards and even improves on them

Following the testing, we can determine if we need to upgrade any part of our vessel or otherwise. We are also committed to providing you with the full report of the testing. This way, you can have confidence in our whole build process.
