Our last project was thisDudley Dix 43 foot centre cockpit design also modified with a hard dodger and fitted with Diamond Sea-Glaze windows. She was painted with an Awlgrip finish and non-skid decks in Tuff-Coat .The interior of the hull was insulated with Mascoat Delta “T” sprayed on insulating coating and Knauf fibreglass insulating board giving a completely fireproof coating. Woodwork was eastern maple with Sapele trim all epoxy coated and finished with a rubbed effect varnish. She was powered with an 70 horsepower Isuzu 4JB1 diesel engine fitted with an autostrem feathering propeller. Other equipment included Jefa Transmission Steering system, a Hurricane diesel hot water system and Furuno NavNet 3D integrated electronics system. Rigging and spars were supplied by Selden Mast Inc. and installed by Bluewater Spars and Rigging. Deck hardware was Ronstan, Andersen winches and Lofrans windlass. Sails were supplied by Leitch and McBride Sobstad Sails. Roton Industries Ltd. supplied and installed the Furuno and other electronics.

and ground.

As an experiment the hull was painted in primer before turnover when all surfaces
are readily accessible. The area above the rubbing band is unpainted as the deck
has yet to be welded in place.

A hard dodger was custom designed by Dudley.

Hull is finish painted by the rolling and brushing technique. No filler has beeen used to achieve this degree of fairness.
